NEW YORK--April 24, 2006--Lexington Insurance Company, a member company of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), has named Peter J. Eastwood Senior Executive of AIG Healthcare, a leading provider of professional liability insurance for the healthcare industry. Mr. Eastwood, who also serves as a Senior Vice President of Lexington, succeeds Executive Vice President Richard H. Bucilla who will be retiring after nearly 20 years at Lexington and 38 years in the insurance industry.
Mr. Eastwood previously served as President of excess and surplus lines broker Risk Specialists Companies, Inc., an AIG member company.
Matthew F. Power who is currently Senior Vice President - Eastern Zone of the AIG Companies, has been named President of Risk Specialists Companies, Inc. and will also assume Mr. Eastwood's responsibilities for Lexington product development and marketing for Lexington's industry-focused insurance practices.
Prior to joining Lexington, Mr. Eastwood was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of AIG Risk Finance. He began his insurance career in 1991 as a professional associate at AIG member company National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, Pa., where he held a number of key underwriting positions. He earned his BA degree from Ohio Wesleyan and an MBA from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Mr. Power joined the AIG Companies in 1993 as National Accounts Regional Director, and was named Regional Vice President of the Boston Region in 2000. Prior to joining AIG, he held a variety of positions at both the Home Insurance Company and Kemper Insurance Company. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts and has completed the Harvard Business School Executive Education General Manager Program.
