Online Claims Reporting and Loss Run Functionality Allows for Faster Client Service to Insureds

NEW YORK, Nov 29, 2004 -- AIG Specialty Workers' Compensation(R), a division of the property and casualty insurance subsidiaries of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), today announced the expansion of its "Partners in Productivity(R)" website (www.aigswc.com) to enable its small business policyholders and their brokers to report claims online and to request and receive loss runs electronically.

With the launch of the new online functionality, customers and their representatives can immediately submit claims to AIG Specialty Workers' Compensation claims adjusters for review. By providing direct electronic access via the Partners in Productivity website, AIG Specialty Workers' Compensation will reduce processing time for individual claims and engage claims management capabilities on a more timely basis. These new system functions were specifically designed to respond to a major priority of policyholders - enhanced communication and response to claims.

"Our website has been well received by customers and brokers," said Jim Roberts, President, AIG Specialty Workers' Compensation. "The ability to streamline the claim reporting system and provide online loss runs are important next steps for improved customer service. These features combine with the AIG RiskTool System(R), our online loss prevention and risk management platform, to offer a comprehensive set of resources that will help policyholders improve workplace safety."

As part of today's launch, the new Partners in Productivity website enables insureds to download loss runs in Adobe PDF or Microsoft(R) Excel format.
