|AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY ENTERPRISES, INC. SIGNS HORIZON SERVICES GROUP, LLC TO MULTI-YEAR MAINFRAME OUTSOURCING SERVICES AGREEMENT|
NEW YORK--May 5, 2003--American International Technology Enterprises, Inc. (doing business as AIG Technologies), a member company of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), today announced a multi-year mainframe outsourcing services agreement with Horizon Services Group, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Horizon Lines, LLC.

Under the terms of the agreement, AIG Technologies (AIGT) will provide complete OS/390 mainframe processing services, complementary network support and managed server hosting for Horizon Services Group (HSG). Based on a "pay according to use" computing model, the agreement calls for the migration and consolidation of HSG's current operating environment to AIGT's Livingston, NJ data center, as well as on-going management of the company's back-office operations.

Formed in 2001 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Horizon Lines, LLC, Horizon Services Group manages all Horizon Lines' systems, from back-office operations to customer relationship management applications. In 2002, the company successfully expanded sales of its IT applications for managing the complex processes associated with ocean shipping and intermodal logistics. Operating statistics gathered from a survey of Horizon's users shows that more than half of all Fortune 100 non-financial companies are registered users of Horizon applications and 70% of all Horizon Lines' bookings are now received electronically, leading the ocean shipping industry.
