NEW YORK, November 7, 2002 – AIG Trading Group Inc. (AIG Trading), a member company of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), has announced that it has named Anthony J. Gordon Executive Vice President and head of Global Energy at AIG Trading. Mr. Gordon will join the Management Committee of AIG Trading and will be based in Greenwich, Connecticut reporting to John J. Finigan, President and CEO of AIG Trading.

Mr. Gordon will be responsible for establishing AIG Trading's global energy merchant businesses by building a client driven franchise which will provide both physical and financial risk management solutions to global energy producers, consumers, and distributors.

Mr. Gordon joins AIG Trading from Goldman Sachs where he was a Managing Director. Mr. Gordon was most recently responsible for Goldman Sachs' European Power and Natural Gas merchant /principal activities. Prior to that position, Mr. Gordon was responsible for building Goldman Sachs' North American power and merchant fuels businesses, including Constellation Power Source.

Mr. Gordon earned a Bachelor of Arts from Amherst College and a Masters from Yale University.
