|AIG ESTABLISHES INVESTOR HELP DESK|
NEW YORK----May 21, 2002--American International Group, Inc. (AIG) announced today that it has established an Investor Help Desk, dedicated to responding to the needs of individual, as well as institutional, investors.
Investors with questions about AIG's business operations and results can dial 212-770-6580 to speak to AIG's investor relations professionals. The Investor Help Desk will be staffed in New York and available throughout normal business hours, Eastern Time.
As part of establishing the Investor Help Desk, AIG is adding resources to its investor relations department. AIG investor relations professionals will work closely with experts throughout all of AIG's lines of business who have specific responsibility for providing rapid responses to investor questions.
