|AIG TRADING GROUP NAMES JOHN WAREHAM EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND HEAD OF GLOBAL FOREIGN EXCHANGE AND EMERGING MARKETS|
|New York, September 28, 2001 – AIG Trading Group Inc (AIG Trading), an American International Group, Inc. (AIG) member company, has announced that it has named John Wareham as Executive Vice President responsible for Global Foreign Exchange and Emerging Markets. Mr. Wareham will be based in London and report to John J. Finigan, President and CEO of AIG Trading. |
Mr. Wareham joins AIG Trading from Atriax Inc. where he was Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Atriax, Mr. Wareham was a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch and Head of International Foreign Exchange. Earlier in his career Mr. Wareham had foreign exchange trading responsibilities at both Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Wareham earned a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MPhil in International Relations from Oxford University.
