|AIG NAMES BERT ARMELLINO TO ENERGY DIVISION POST|
NEW YORK, April 7, 1998 – American International Group, Inc. (AIG), announced that Bert E. Armellino has been named President of the Energy Division of American International Underwriters (AIU), the company's international property-casualty insurance organization, responsible for the company's worldwide energy business. He will report to Martin J. Sullivan, AIG Senior Vice President, Foreign General Insurance and President of AIU.|
Mr. Armellino joined AIG in July 1996 as Senior Vice President of AIU's Energy Division. Prior to joining AIG, Mr. Armellino worked at Protection Mutual Insurance Company for 25 years, most recently as Vice President and Eastern Regional Manager.
Mr. Armellino received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Newark College of Engineering.
