AIG AVIATION OFFERS GENERAL LIABILITY POLICY ADDRESSING BOTH AVIATION AND NON-AVIATION EXPOSURES

NEW YORK, December 15, 1999 - AIG Aviation, Inc., a member company of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), is now offering a general liability insurance program for organizations with both aviation and non-aviation product and premises exposures. The Aeroparts Program is designed to eliminate the need for two separate general liability policies by including non-aviation products and premises coverage under AIG Aviation's existing general liability policy.*

Most general liability insurance carriers exclude aviation-related premises and products exposures, while most aviation insurance carriers exclude non-aviation premises and products exposures. As a result, insureds with both aircraft and non-aircraft product and premises exposures, such as component manufacturers, service providers and overhaul facilities, have traditionally been required to carry two separate general liability policies. AIG Aviation's Aeroparts Program incorporates non-aviation products and premises coverage under AIG Aviation's existing general liability policy, creating a single form to address the insured's exposures.

The Aeroparts Program features limits of liability of up to $500 million for aviation-related product exposures, and up to $1 million for non-aviation general liability. AIG Aviation's general liability policy may be endorsed to include non-aviation related business operations. Additionally, the Aeroparts Program can be packaged to include workers' compensation and business auto coverages.
