AIG CLAIM SERVICES, INC. LAUNCHES ONLINE APPLICATIONS
NEW YORK, February 9, 2000 – AIG Claim Services, Inc. (AIGCS), a member company of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), has introduced several web-based applications to facilitate claim reporting and handling. The online applications, which include newly developed and enhanced web-based functions, enable customers to report a claim, view and analyze loss data, and print standard and ad-hoc reports from the AIGCS web site, http://www.aigcs.net. Loss run reports can also be generated at the customer's request from the site.

“The Internet presents an efficient and secure vehicle to provide our customers with the information they need to manage their losses,” said Anthony J. Galioto, President, AIGCS. "The introduction of these new applications reinforces AIGCS' commitment to capitalizing on the latest technologies to enhance the effectiveness of our services to clients.”

AIGCS has introduced First Notice of Loss (FNL), a new, web-based function that enables AIGCS customers to file workers' compensation, property, and casualty claims online. FNL prompts users to fill out all relevant details associated with the claim, including employer, employee and insurance carrier information. The information is immediately processed, and FNL confirms successful transmission with identification of the AIGCS service center assigned to handle the claim. The online procedure is completed within minutes, and a formal notification letter is emailed to the client verifying receipt.

AIGCS' web-based claims analysis and inquiry system, IntelliRisk NetSourceTM, has been enhanced to offer greater flexibility to meet the diverse claim information needs of a small, medium or large customer base, with up to 7,500 claims annually. Depending upon claim volume and complexity, customers may choose basic features such as summary and detail claim information, and the ability to “Quick Search” for a claim by elements such as social security number or dates of loss. In addition to those features, customers with more complex information technology needs may also select adjuster activity notes, one-click download to a Microsoft® Excel® or Text file, standard report formats as well as additional data elements.

Additionally, AIGCS' electronic loss run distribution service, IntelliRisk NetDataTM is now available online. This service employs push technology to provide an electronic alternative to hard-copy formats. IntelliRisk NetData features the added flexibility of allowing customers to “find” or “go to” a specific claim or page and forward loss runs to other recipients. Additionally, the electronic distribution method provides users with faster access to their data. It is available in the Risk Detail and Cost Accounting formats on a monthly basis.

Customers can request online distribution of standard and customized formats directly from the AIGCS/RMIS web site at http://www.aigcs.net (click on RMIS tab).

All of the above services are available to insureds whose workers' compensation or general liability policies are managed by AIGCS and underwritten by member companies of American International Group, Inc.

AIGCS provides a broad spectrum of cost containment and claims management services for AIG's workers' compensation and property-casualty clients. These include integrated medical case management, litigation management and specific capabilities addressing a range of needs, from clients in middle market businesses to the nation's largest corporations.
