|AIG ELECTS CAROL A. MCFATE, MICHAEL J. CASTELLI AND KEITH L. DUCKETT TO CORPORATE OFFICER POSITIONS|
|NEW YORK, May 30, 2000 – American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has announced that its Board of Directors has elected three executives to corporate officer positions.|
Carol A. McFate, who has served as AIG Treasurer since 1998, was elected Vice President and Treasurer. Prior to being named Treasurer in 1998, Ms. McFate was Assistant Treasurer. She joined AIG in 1994 as Director of Financial Analysis.
Michael J. Castelli was elected Vice President and Comptroller. He was previously AIG Vice President and Deputy Comptroller, a position he has held since 1998. Prior to that, Mr. Castelli served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for AIG's Domestic General Insurance operations. He joined AIG in 1989 from Coopers & Lybrand.
Keith L. Duckett was elected Assistant Vice President and Director of Internal Audit. He has been Director of Internal Audit since 1995. Prior to that, Mr. Duckett had been Director of Technical Accounting Standards in the AIG Comptroller's Department. He joined AIG in 1987 as a member of the AIG internal audit staff.
