AIG ASSET MANAGEMENT INTERNATIONAL TAPS ERIC PITTOMVILS FOR EUROPEAN FUND DISTRIBUTION
New York, August 7, 2000 – American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has announced that Eric Pittomvils has joined the senior management team of AIG Asset Management International, Inc., a member company of AIG, in the newly created position of Managing Director for retail fund distribution in Europe.

From his base in Zurich, Mr. Pittomvils is charged with the responsibility of building third party distribution channels and developing the product line of AIG Asset Management International, Inc. in Europe.

Mr. Pittomvils most recently was with UBS as Country Head of Benelux and Northern Europe. During his tenure at UBS, Mr. Pittomvils worked in marketing, development of private label funds and international fund distribution. From 1990-1996, he worked for Cedel Bank, now known as Clearstream, most recently as Vice President and Manager of Central Europe.
