AIG PRIVATE CLIENT GROUP ESTABLISHES REGIONAL OFFICES
NEW YORK, November 16, 2000 - American International Group, Inc. (AIG) has announced that the AIG Private Client Group, a division of the American International Companies that provides customized risk management solutions and services for high net worth individuals, has established four zonal offices with local contacts dedicated to serving the needs of specialist insurance brokers who cater to high net worth clients.

The Northeast Zone will be located in New York and headed by Ray Condon, Senior Vice President, AIG Private Client Group, who can be contacted at 212/770-7942. Mr. Condon joined the AIG Private Client Group in September 1999 with 14 years of personal lines insurance experience, most recently with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.

Private Client Group, who can be contacted at 312/559-2782. Mr. Dyer joined the AIG Private Client Group in May 2000 with 12 years personal lines insurance experience, most recently with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.

The Southern Zone office will be located in Atlanta and headed by Keith Self, Vice President, AIG Private Client Group, who can be contacted at 770/671-2190. Mr. Self joined the AIG Private Client Group in May 2000 with 17 years of personal lines insurance experience, most recently with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies.

The Western Zone office will be located in San Diego and will be headed by Bill Besalski, Vice President, AIG Private Client Group, who can be contacted at 619/688-3891. Mr. Besalski joined the AIG Private Client Group in July 2000 with 20 years personal lines insurance industry experience, most recently with Fireman's Fund Insurance Company.

Each zone is divided into several regions. The AIG Private Client Group will be hiring Business Development Managers to service each region in the near future.
