Chartis Appoints Mark Meyerhoff President of Chartis Aerospace Insurance Services, Inc.

NEW YORK – December 21, 2010 – Chartis today announced it is naming Mark Meyerhoff President of Chartis Aerospace Insurance Services, Inc., effective January 24, 2011. Mr. Meyerhoff will be responsible for leading Chartis’ aerospace businesses worldwide, replacing David Hupp who will retire from Chartis after 40 years of service with the company.

John Q. Doyle, Executive Vice President of Chartis and President and Chief Executive Officer of Chartis U.S., said, “Mark is an accomplished senior aerospace executive with extensive expertise in a number of areas within the insurance industry. We are very pleased to have a professional of his caliber join Chartis to continue to help build our Aerospace business.”

Mr. Meyerhoff brings to Chartis over 30 years of experience within the aviation and aerospace industry. He is joining Chartis from Boeing, where he was most recently the Senior Director of Risk Management and Insurance. In that capacity, Mr. Meyerhoff was responsible for all business insurance programs and related processes for Boeing, including the company’s aviation products liability, property, and directors and officers liability, in addition to 50 other programs. Previously, Mr. Meyerhoff held several senior management positions at McDonnell Douglas Corporation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Missouri at St. Louis.
