NEW YORK, Mar 31, 2010 --American International Group, Inc. (AIG) and International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) announced today that Senior Vice President Philip Scruggs has been promoted to the position of ILFC Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately.

"We are very pleased that Phil is taking on this added responsibility. ILFC's marketing team, led by Phil, will continue to work tirelessly to meet the needs of ILFC's more than 170 customers. This announcement, together with our recent successes in the financial markets, where we raised more than $4 billion in new liquidity over the last three weeks, strongly demonstrates ILFC's vibrant future."

Mr. Scruggs has worked for ILFC for fifteen years, most recently as Senior Vice President in Marketing with responsibility for over 65 of ILFC's airline customers world-wide. In this role, Mr. Scruggs managed the sourcing, evaluation, documentation and on-going management of aircraft leasing transactions, and has worked with airlines and investors in Europe, North America, South America, the Middle East, Australia, and the Commonwealth of Independent States, and is a regular speaker at industry conferences.

Prior to joining ILFC, Mr. Scruggs, an instrument-rated private pilot, was employed as an attorney at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky and Walker, a Los Angeles based law firm, where he specialized in leasing and asset based finance. He received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, and a law degree from The George Washington University.
