NEW YORK--Nov. 3, 2008--AIG Environmental(R), a unit of AIG Commercial Insurance, announced that it is initiating electronic issuance of its insurance policies with AIG eDelivery(R).

AIG eDelivery is an Internet-based system that makes newly-issued insurance policies and endorsements from AIG Environmental available for download by brokers, expediting policy delivery and eliminating the need for traditional paper policy issuance. Policies and endorsements will be available to brokers online the next business day after issuance.

"AIG Environmental pioneered environmental insurance nearly three decades ago and continues to lead the market by responding to our insureds' need to mitigate environmental exposures and conduct environmental remediation. With AIG eDelivery, we can deliver our policies in a way that is consistent with our commitment to environmental responsibility while improving our service to brokers and customers," said Joseph Boren, Chairman and CEO, AIG Environmental.

AIG Environmental expects its paperless policy issuance to save approximately 11 tons of paper annually and to reduce yearly CO2 emissions by approximately 30,000 pounds.

With AIG eDelivery, brokers will have access to insurance policies issued through AIG Environmental, including, but not limited to Pollution Legal Liability Insurance (PLL), Environmental and General Liability Exposures (EAGLE) Program(R), Professional Package(SM) (PRO-PAC(SM)), and Contractors Pollution Liability Insurance (CPL).

In addition to AIG Environmental(R), the following AIG Commercial Insurance units have adopted AIG eDelivery: AIG Small Business(R), AIG Executive Liability(SM), AIG Excess Casualty(R) and AIG Specialty Workers' Compensation(R).
